Service & Justice Commission

~ Where Charity and Justice Walk Hand-in-Hand

The Service & Justice Commission is a standing committee of STM's Parish Pastoral Council.

S & J prayerfully researches and stays current on the social teachings of the Catholic Church and concerns involving the Corporal Works of Mercy in order to educate and motivate parishioners of all ages, ministries, and activities in service to others within and beyond our STM faith community.

Under S & J's current umbrella are over 30 Catholic and ecumenical ministries. Volunteers interested in learning about, seeing a need, and/or working "hands on" in charity, service, and justice issues are welcome to serve a term of lay leadership. We collaborate with day & night school students on some projects and is always willing to add other needs to our list when we find willing hands to help.

Commitment: One meeting per month of about 1 ½ hr.

Sept. through May.
